Privacy policy

Unless otherwise specified below, the provision of your personal data is neither legally nor contractually required, nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the data. Non-provision has no consequences. This only applies insofar as no other information is given in the following processing operations.

"Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Server Log Files

You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Every time our website is accessed, usage data is transmitted to us or our web host/IT service provider by your internet browser and stored in log files (server log files). This stored data includes, for example, the name of the page accessed, date and time of access, IP address, amount of data transmitted, and the requesting provider. The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR out of a legitimate interest in ensuring the smooth operation of our website and improving our offerings.

Collection, Processing, and Disclosure of Personal Data for Orders

When you place an order, we collect and process your personal data only to the extent necessary for the fulfillment and processing of your order, as well as for handling your inquiries. Providing the data is necessary for the conclusion of the contract. Failure to provide it will result in no contract being concluded. The processing is carried out based on Art. 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is necessary for the performance of a contract with you.

Your data may be disclosed to, for example, the shipping companies and dropshipping providers you have chosen, payment service providers, service providers for order processing, and IT service providers. In all cases, we strictly adhere to legal requirements. The scope of data transmission is limited to the minimum necessary.

Data Collection and Processing for Credit Checks

If we advance payment, for example, when paying by invoice or direct debit, we reserve the right to obtain a credit report based on mathematical-statistical methods using Billpay GmbH, Zinnowitzer Str. 1, 10115 Berlin. To do this, we transmit the personal data necessary for a credit check and use the information received about the statistical probability of payment default to make a well-considered decision regarding the establishment, execution, or termination of the contractual relationship. The credit report may include probability values (score values) calculated based on scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical methods, and address data may be included in this calculation, among other factors. Your legitimate interests are considered in accordance with legal requirements. The data processing serves the purpose of a credit check for contract initiation. The processing is carried out based on Art. 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) due to our legitimate interest in protecting against payment default when we advance performance. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data concerning you based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation by notifying us. Providing the data is necessary for concluding the contract with the payment method you have chosen. Failure to provide it will result in the contract not being concluded with the payment method of your choice.

Data Collection and Processing, Identity, and Credit Check when Choosing Billpay Payment Methods

If you choose one of the payment options offered by our partner, Billpay GmbH (Zinnowitzer Str. 1, 10115 Berlin), you will be asked during the ordering process to consent to the transmission of the data required for payment processing and an identity and credit check to Billpay. If you grant your consent, your data (first and last name, street, house number, postal code, city, date of birth, telephone number, and, for purchases by direct debit, the provided bank account information) as well as data related to your order will be transmitted to Billpay. Data processing serves the purpose of offering the invoice payment method and the necessary credit check for it. Processing is carried out based on Art. 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time by notifying us, without affecting the legality of the processing carried out based on your consent before revocation. For the purpose of conducting its own identity and credit checks, Billpay or partner companies appointed by Billpay transmit data to credit reporting agencies (credit bureaus) and receive information, including potential creditworthiness information, based on mathematical-statistical methods, which may include address data in their calculations. Further information on this matter and the credit reporting agencies used can be found in Billpay GmbH's privacy policy at https://www.billpay.de/allgemein/datenschutz/. Providing this data is necessary for concluding the contract with the payment method you have chosen. Failure to provide this data will result in the contract not being concluded with the payment method of your choice.

Data Collection and Processing for Payment Methods via Credit Card, Direct Debit, and Invoice through secupay AG

We have integrated the components secupay.Lastschrift (direct debit), secupay. Rechnungskauf (invoice), and secupay.Kreditkarte (credit card) of secupay AG (Goethestr. 6, 01896 Pulsnitz; "secupay") on our website. secupay is a payment institution in accordance with the Payment Services Supervision Act (ZAG) and is registered with the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Graurheindorfer Str. 108, 53117 Bonn; "BaFin") (Registration Number: 126737). It enables cashless payments for products and services on the internet. secupay implements a procedure by which the purchase price claim is assigned to secupay. This enables a merchant to deliver goods, services, or downloads to the customer immediately after the order.

If you choose (direct debit), (invoice), or (credit card) as your payment option via secupay during the ordering process on our online shop, data from you will be automatically transmitted to secupay. By selecting one of these payment options, you consent to the transmission of personal data necessary for payment processing. During the payment process through secupay, payment method data is transmitted to secupay. secupay then performs a technical assessment of the payment default risk. The execution of the financial transaction is then automatically communicated to the online merchant. The personal data exchanged with secupay includes first name, last name, address, email address, IP address, telephone number, or other data necessary for payment processing. The data transmission is for the purpose of payment processing and fraud prevention. We will also transmit other personal data to secupay when there is a legitimate interest for the transmission.

Personal data exchanged between secupay and us may be transmitted by secupay to credit reporting agencies under certain circumstances. This transmission is for identity and creditworthiness checks. secupay may also share personal data with affiliated companies and service providers or subcontractors to fulfill contractual obligations or process data on behalf. You have the option to withdraw your consent regarding the handling of personal data at any time by notifying secupay. A revocation does not affect personal data that must be processed, used, or transmitted in accordance with (contractual) payment processing requirements. You can access secupay's applicable privacy policies at https://www.secupay.com/de/datenschutz.
