Carbon monoxide gas detector - CarPro-Tec
Artikelnummer: 901153
Protect yourself and your loved ones!
"More important than any burglary or theft protection is your own safety."
With our carbon monoxide gas detector, you can reliably monitor your interior for the formation of dangerous CO gas.
Our carbon monoxide gas detector can save your life! Carbon monoxide is produced when carbon-containing materials are not completely burned (e.g., fireplace, grill, oven, gas heater). If the deadly, odorless gas "carbon monoxide" escapes, the internal sensor immediately triggers the CarPro-Tec alarm wirelessly and also sounds an additional internal alarm siren.
Single or with CarPro-Tec:
The carbon monoxide gas detector, like any conventional "stand-alone" gas detector, can also be used without CarPro-Tec, as it triggers its own alarm in case of danger.
In combination with CarPro-Tec, security is enhanced by the additional activation of the alarm system, as well as immediate notification to your smartphone.
Special features:
- Up to 12 months battery life
- Battery alarm when power is low
- Loud audible alarm (85dB)
- Bidirectional sensor for increased sensitivity (two-way detection)
- Test button (reset)
- Includes 2x AA 1.5V batteries
*CO concentration according to CE, RoHS, FC, complies with EU standard 50291
Scope of delivery:
1 x Carbon monoxide gas detector
2 x AA 1.5V batteries
1 x 70mm magnetic pad
Additional information:
- Carbon monoxide (CO) gas is odorless, invisible, and highly toxic. This is what makes CO gas so dangerous.
- Carbon monoxide (CO), a dangerous respiratory poison, once inhaled, very quickly enters the bloodstream via the lungs. Death by suffocation occurs when the oxygen transport in the blood is hindered or stopped by the carbon monoxide gas. The first signs of carbon monoxide poisoning develop gradually; you may experience headaches and dizziness. At higher concentrations, the central nervous system and the heart are affected. Near a fireplace, stove, or grill, you will hardly notice this colorless, odorless, and tasteless poisonous gas! Even low levels as low as 100 ppm can lead to long-term damage to the heart and nervous system. With high concentrations of carbon monoxide particles in the air, death occurs within minutes.
- Carbon monoxide (CO) gas is distributed fairly evenly in the air, therefore the CO detector should ideally be mounted in enclosed spaces at a height of approximately 100 cm above the floor, at a distance of no more than 3-4 meters from the source of the fire.
- Do not install the gas detector near doors, windows, or range hoods, as the actual gas concentration in the air cannot be reliably measured in these areas. Direct placement next to the gas source or in areas with high dust levels or humidity should also be avoided. Ensure that the gas detectors are out of reach of children and pets, and that no paints, varnishes, solvents, or cleaning agents are stored nearby. Gas detectors can be triggered by hairspray, for example, as the propellant gases from the aerosol can are also detected. Similarly, gases produced during baking can also cause the gas detector to activate.
